?
There are lots of ways to get to Essaouira, Morocco – by foot, by car, by bus, by plane, or even hitchhiking –

plane, taxi, and buses.
Morroco by the road:
Of course you can ride you car there. All you will need it a couple of maps and lots of time on your hands. It's a pretty staight line and many miles away. But it could be a fun journey. You could prefer the train. The following resource is pretty complete about it. http://www.seat61.com/Morocco.htm
There are also offers by bus from european capitals to Morocco. From what I hear it is no way worth the money saved. So I zapped this section. If anyone has some positive feedback to give about this option, i'll be glad to include it.
Morroco by plane:
Plenty of offers around. Check out the following: www.royalairmaroc.com and the
national air line company of your country of residence all or should have flights to and from Marrakech or Agadir. So check out the following keywords in your favorite search engines. They the following keywords

European Capitals
Friends tell me that you can get dirt cheap flights from
Northen Europe to Marrakech. Don't know why but I am not
fond on flying for so little money, I figure it does not pay for the
fuel ...
If you’re flying from Paris, Royal Air Maroc offers 2 direct flights to Essaouira every week. I am sure these offers will expand to major european cities if we take the development of the essaouira airport in consideration. To be kept posted you could try this search

I fly out of Paris. Royal air Maroc offers direct flights to Essaouira. I allways compare air fares on www.edreams.com. Several other French airports offer flights
to Marrakech or Agadir. Many French fly to Marrakech Morocco
with www.atlas-blue.com.
This would be the low cost operation of Royal Air Maroc.
OK so you're in Marrakech or Agadir and want to go to Essaouira.
If you are coming to Essaouira from Marrakech or Agadir, unless you just can’t resist the temptation to walk or hitch, then the bus is probably the next least expensive option. That said, never underestimate:
· The cost of transportation between the airport and the Marrakech or Agadir bus terminals to
essaouira.
· The number of people in your group
· The lost of time you’ll experience waiting in lines and sitting on benches waiting for your transportation to Essaouira
· Bus schedules
· The weight and number of bags you carry
All of these factors should impact your decision regarding the form of transportation you choose. Remember, you’re on vacation ! If you have to pay just a little bit more to save yourself tons of time and frustration, i figure it’s well worth the additional cost in the end. Buses is great for those who travel light.
Others should choose to take an Essaouira taxi instead of a bus. It’s just one of those little luxuries that will make your vacation all the better. Remember to reserve in advance to ensure a great car – like a vintage Mercedes – and a knowledgeable driver who can bring you straight to your essaouira accomodation.
Remember, the bigger your group, the less you pay. Keeping in mind that a trip from Marrakech to Essaouira by taxi goes for 50 euros, is it 25 euros per person if there are two of you, or 17 euros per person if there are three or 12.50 if you are 4. Over 4 the taxi ride becomes unconfortable. Take 2 cabs or a minibus.
If you do decide to take the bus, there are many different companies to choose from. Make sure to have a look at the different companies offering transportation to Essaouira and compare the schedules and prices to choose the right one.

Agadir Bus Terminal:
I discourage anyone to use bus service from Agadir to
Essaouira. The route is magnificent and very curvy. Fragile
stomacs are really taken for a ride. I discourage it at the
point of not have taken time to pursue this option.
